Michael Becker

Camp Director

Serving as camp director is a natural fit for Michael Becker, and you could say it’s something he’s been preparing for his entire life. A lifetime outdoor sports enthusiast, Michael graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in health education. He is certified in both health education and physical education, as well as CPR and first aid. While in college, he volunteered with Children’s Physical Development Clinic, working with children with special needs to help them meet physical goals.

A resident of East Longmeadow, Michael started as a camp counselor at the town’s Pine Knoll Day Camp, and over the course of a decade, became the camp director, along the way learning about all aspects of running a successful program. Most recently, Michael is a coach at Brain Balance in West Springfield and is a physical education teacher at Chicopee Academy.

In his free time, Michael appreciates the many opportunities New England affords to spend time with his family––including his young daughter and dog––enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities.
